Neuse River Crop Management |
| Participants: |

| Objective: |
Develop a sound scientific
and economic basis for herbicide and fertilizer treatments on corn, cotton, wheat,
and soybeans, which account for 84% of planted acres in the Neuse River Basin.
Targeted and efficient use of nutrients and herbicides is critical to both saving
growers money and improving water quality in the Neuse. |

(Alabama, Arkansas, Georgia, Louisiana,Mississippi, North Carolina,

| Objective: |
Conduct training sessions for
extension personnel, consultants, and growers on use of HADSS. Also
conduct on-farm trials to demonstrate its usefulness. An economist is
studying the potential impacts of HADSS implementation across the Southern
region. |
